CALL upon GOD

 Genesis 4:25-26

King James Version

25 And Adam knew his wife again;

and she bare a son, and called his name Seth:

For God, said she, hath appointed me

another seed instead of Abel,

whom Cain slew.

26 And to Seth,

to him also there was born a son;

and he called his name Enos:

then began men to call upon

the name of the Lord.

You can feel the earth groan.

As man continues to sin.

As problems continue to hound us.

As we are all on the verge of many wars.

As many continue to deceive.

We are in the greatest danger yet.

Will you call upon GOD?

What happened when JESUS called to GOD?

Matthew 27:45-50

King James Version

45 Now from the sixth hour

there was darkness over all the land

unto the ninth hour.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried

with a loud voice, saying,

Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?

that is to say,

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47 Some of them that stood there,

when they heard that, said,

This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran,

and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar,

and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49 The rest said,

Let be, let us see

whether Elias will come to save him.

50 Jesus,

when he had cried again with a loud voice,

yielded up the ghost.

What happens when we CALL upon the NAME of the LORD?

Exodus 17:4-7

King James Version

4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying,

What shall I do unto this people?

they be almost ready to stone me.

5 And the Lord said unto Moses,

Go on before the people,

and take with thee of the elders of Israel;

and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river,

take in thine hand, and go.

6 Behold,

I will stand before thee

there upon the rock in Horeb;

and thou shalt smite the rock,

and there shall come water out of it,

that the people may drink.

And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

7 And he called the name of the place Massah,

and Meribah,

because of the chiding of the children of Israel,

and because they tempted the Lord, saying,

Is the Lord among us, or not?

1 Samuel 12:17-18

King James Version

17 Is it not wheat harvest to day?

I will call unto the Lord,

and he shall send thunder and rain;

that ye may perceive and see

that your wickedness is great,

which ye have done in the sight of the Lord,

in asking you a king.

18 So Samuel called unto the Lord;

and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day:

and all the people greatly feared the Lord

and Samuel.

2 Samuel 22:4

King James Version

4 I will call on the Lord,

who is worthy to be praised:

so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 50:15

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble:

I will deliver thee,

and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalm 55:16

King James Version

and the Lord shall save me.

Psalm 86:5

King James Version

and ready to forgive;

and plenteous in mercy

unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalm 91:15-16

King James Version

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him,

and shew him my salvation.

Psalm 99:6

King James Version

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests,

and Samuel among them that call upon his name;

they called upon the Lord,

and he answered them.

Psalm 116:2

King James Version

2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,

therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Psalm 120:1

King James Version

120 In my distress I cried unto the Lord,

and he heard me.

Isaiah 58:9

King James Version

9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer;

thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.

If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke,

the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Isaiah 65:23-24

King James Version

23 They shall not labour in vain,

nor bring forth for trouble;

for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord,

and their offspring with them.

24 And it shall come to pass,

that before they call, I will answer;

and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Jeremiah 33:3-4

King James Version

3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee,

and show thee great and mighty things,

which thou knowest not.

4 For thus saith the Lord,

the God of Israel,

concerning the houses of this city,

and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah,

which are thrown down by the mounts,

and by the sword;

Joel 2:30-32

King James Version

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens

and in the earth,

blood, and fire,

and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood,

before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass,

that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord

shall be delivered:

for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem

shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said,

and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Jonah 2:1-2

King James Version

2 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God

out of the fish's belly,

2 And said,

I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord,

and he heard me;

out of the belly of hell cried I,

and thou heardest my voice.

Zechariah 13:8-9

King James Version

8 And it shall come to pass,

that in all the land, saith the Lord,

two parts therein shall be cut off and die;

but the third shall be left therein.

9 And I will bring the third part through the fire,

and will refine them as silver is refined,

and will try them as gold is tried:

they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:

I will say, It is my people:

and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Acts 2:19-21

King James Version

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above,

and signs in the earth beneath;

blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood,

before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass,

that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord

shall be saved.

Acts 7:59-60

King James Version

59 And they stoned Stephen,

calling upon God, and saying,

Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down,

and cried with a loud voice,

Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.

And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Romans 10:12-13

King James Version

12 For there is no difference

between the Jew and the Greek:

for the same Lord over all is rich

unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call

upon the name of the Lord

shall be saved.

CALL upon GOD at all times.

BELIEVE in His Son, JESUS.

LISTEN to the HOLY SPIRIT.

In the TRIUNE GOD lies our salvation.

Isaiah 59:1

King James Version

59 Behold,

the Lord's hand is not shortened,

that it cannot save;

FOCUS on THINGS above

The LORD JESUS said:

John 8:23

King James Version

23 And he said unto them,

Ye are from beneath; I am from above:

ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

It is too easy to get caught up in things of the world.

The "lust of the flesh".

The "lust of the eyes".

The "pride of life".

1 John 2:16

King James Version

16 For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

The world belongs to the fallen one.

Who is completely focused on unbelievers' destruction.

2 Corinthians 4:4

King James Version

4 In whom the god of this world

hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,

who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Do you want to have ETERNAL LIFE with JESUS?

Do you want peace, love, and joy forever?

If we are to be with CHRIST, we must focus on Him alone.

Colossians 3:1-3

King James Version

3 If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead,

and your life is hid with Christ in God.

CHRIST is our life.

Believers would want to be with Him.

Colossians 3:4

King James Version

4 When Christ,

who is our life, shall appear,

then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

And how are we to do that?

The same chapter defines it all.

We have a guide on how to live as believers:

Colossians 3:5

King James Version

5 Mortify therefore your members

which are upon the earth;

fornication, uncleanness,

inordinate affection, evil concupiscence,

and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Colossians 3:8

King James Version

8 But now ye also put off all these;

anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,

filthy communication out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:9-11

King James Version

9 Lie not one to another,

seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man,

which is renewed in knowledge

after the image of him that created him:

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew,

circumcision nor uncircumcision,

Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free:

but Christ is all, and in all.

Colossians 3:12-17

King James Version

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God,

holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,

humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another,

and forgiving one another,

if any man have a quarrel against any:

even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity,

which is the bond of perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,

to the which also ye are called in one body;

and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;

teaching and admonishing one another in psalms

and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,

do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3:18-22

King James Version

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands,

as it is fit in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives,

and be not bitter against them.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things:

for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger,

lest they be discouraged.

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters

according to the flesh;

not with eyeservice, as menpleasers;

but in singleness of heart,

fearing God;

Colossians 3:23-24

King James Version

23 And whatsoever ye do,

do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive

the reward of the inheritance:

for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Lastly:

Philippians 4:8

King James Version

8 Finally, brethren,

whatsoever things are true,

whatsoever things are honest,

whatsoever things are just,

whatsoever things are pure,

whatsoever things are lovely,

whatsoever things are of good report;

if there be any virtue,

and if there be any praise,

think on these things.

Focusing on things above -- on JESUS -- guides us how to live a blameless life.

Something acceptable before the LORD.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

King James Version

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body

be preserved blameless

unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We can do it, through JESUS.

In JESUS is our victory.

It takes a born again to know these things.

For SPIRIT guides us each moment.

To EVERYTHING about JESUS.

GOD's PLAN of SALVATION

Romans 11:33

King James Version

33 O the depth of the riches

both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

how unsearchable are his judgments,

and his ways past finding out!

If you're a student of SPIRIT like me, you'd marvel at GOD's mind.

You'd marvel at the heart, and intricacy of His plans.

Such as His plan for our SALVATION.

For both Jew, and Gentile alike.

For this cause, GOD causes Israel to "slumber", temporarily:

Romans 11:8

King James Version

8 (According as it is written,

God hath given them the spirit of slumber,

eyes that they should not see,

and ears that they should not hear;)

unto this day.

Romans 11:15

King James Version

15 For if the casting away of them be

the reconciling of the world,

what shall the receiving of them be,

but life from the dead?

So that Gentiles can have a chance at salvation, too.

Romans 11:32

King James Version

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief,

that he might have mercy upon all.

The following verses are addressed to Gentiles:

Romans 11:11

King James Version

11 I say then,

Have they stumbled that they should fall?

God forbid

but rather through their fall

salvation is come unto the Gentiles,

for to provoke them to jealousy.

Romans 11:17

King James Version

17 And if some of the branches be broken off,

and thou, being a wild olive tree,

wert grafted in among them,

and with them partakest of the root

and fatness of the olive tree;

Romans 11:19

King James Version

19 Thou wilt say then,

The branches were broken off,

that I might be grafted in.

Romans 11:25

King James Version

25 For I would not, brethren,

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans 11:28

King James Version

28 As concerning the gospel,

they are enemies for your sakes:

but as touching the election,

they are beloved for the father's sakes.

Romans 11:30

King James Version

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God,

yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Romans 11:31

King James Version

31 Even so have these also now not believed,

that through your mercy

they also may obtain mercy.

GOD's plan of temporarily keeping the Jews "asleep", gives us Gentiles, a fair chance at salvation, too.

Just shows how much love, grace, and mercy GOD has, for all of us -- Jews, and Gentiles, alike.

John 3:16

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

Of course, apostle Paul cautions Gentiles against boasting:

Romans 11:20

King James Version

20 Well;

because of unbelief they were broken off,

and thou standest by faith.

Be not highminded, but fear:

Romans 11:21

King James Version

21 For if God spared not the natural branches,

take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Romans 11:22

King James Version

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:

on them which fell, severity;

but toward thee, goodness,

if thou continue in his goodness:

otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:24

King James Version

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree

which is wild by nature,

and wert grafted contrary to nature

into a good olive tree:

how much more shall these,

which be the natural branches,

be grafted into their own olive tree?

GOD's objective?

Romans 11:26

King James Version

26 And so all Israel shall be saved:

as it is written,

There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,

and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Romans 11:23

King James Version

23 And they also,

if they abide not still in unbelief,

shall be grafted in:

for God is able to graft them in again.

2 Peter 3:9

King James Version

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,

as some men count slackness;

but is longsuffering to us-ward,

not willing that any should perish,

but that all should come to repentance.

SALVATION of JEWS and GENTILES

Romans 11:25-26

King James Version

25 For I would not, brethren,

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel,

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved:

as it is written,

There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,

and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Do you know that the SALVATION of Jews and Gentiles are linked?

The Bible says,"blindness in part" happened to Israel, UNTIL "the fulness of the Gentiles be come in".

But what does "fulness" mean?

Let's explore, through these Bible versions:

Romans 11:25

Amplified Bible

25 I do not want you, believers, to be unaware of this mystery [God’s previously hidden plan]—so that you will not be wise in your own opinion—that a partial hardening has [temporarily] happened to Israel [to last] until the full number of the Gentiles has come in;

Romans 11:25

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the [a]full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in,

Romans 11:25

Christian Standard Bible

25 I don’t want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you will not be conceited: A partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Romans 11:25

Common English Bible

All Israel will be saved

25 I don’t want you to be unaware of this secret,[a] brothers and sisters. That way you won’t think too highly of yourselves. A part of Israel has become resistant until the full number of the Gentiles comes in.

Romans 11:25

Complete Jewish Bible

25 For, brothers, I want you to understand this truth which God formerly concealed but has now revealed, so that you won’t imagine you know more than you actually do. It is that stoniness, to a degree, has come upon Isra’el, until the Gentile world enters in its fullness;

Romans 11:25

Contemporary English Version

The People of Israel Will Be Brought Back

25 My friends, I don't want you Gentiles to be too proud of yourselves. So I will explain the mystery of what has happened to the people of Israel. Some of them have become stubborn, and they will stay like that until the complete number of you Gentiles has come in.

Romans 11:25

Darby Translation

25 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, that ye may not be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the nations be come in;

Romans 11:25

Easy-to-Read Version

25 I want you to understand this secret truth, brothers and sisters. This truth will help you understand that you don’t know everything. The truth is this: Part of Israel has been made stubborn, but that will change when enough non-Jewish people have come to God.

Romans 11:25

Expanded Bible

25 I ·want you to understand [L do not want you to be ignorant of] this ·secret [mystery; C something God had not previously disclosed; Eph. 1:9], brothers and sisters, so you will ·understand that you do not know everything [not become conceited/arrogant/superior-minded]: ·Part of Israel has been made stubborn [or A partial hardening has happened to Israel], ·but that will change when [L until] the ·complete number [or appointed number; L fullness] of the Gentiles have come ·to God [or into the kingdom; L in].

Romans 11:25

Good News Translation

God's Mercy on All

25 There is a secret truth, my friends, which I want you to know, for it will keep you from thinking how wise you are. It is that the stubbornness of the people of Israel is not permanent, but will last only until the complete number of Gentiles comes to God.

Romans 11:25

International Children’s Bible

25 I want you to understand this secret truth, brothers. This truth will help you understand that you do not know everything. The truth is this: Part of Israel has been made stubborn. But that will change when many non-Jews have come to God.

Romans 11:25

International Standard Version

The Restoration of Israel

25 For I want to let you know about this secret, brothers, so that you will not claim to be wiser than you are: Stubbornness has come to part of Israel until the full number of the gentiles comes to faith

Romans 11:25

J.B. Phillips New Testament

It is this, that the partial insensibility which has come to Israel is only to last until the full number of the Gentiles has been called in.

Romans 11:25

Living Bible

25 I want you to know about this truth from God, dear brothers, so that you will not feel proud and start bragging. Yes, it is true that some of the Jews have set themselves against the Gospel now, but this will last only until all of you Gentiles have come to Christ—those of you who will.

Romans 11:25

New Century Version

25 I want you to understand this secret, brothers and sisters, so you will understand that you do not know everything: Part of Israel has been made stubborn, but that will change when many who are not Jews have come to God.

Romans 11:25

New International Reader's Version

All Israel Will Be Saved

25 Brothers and sisters, here is a mystery I want you to understand. It will keep you from being proud. Part of Israel has refused to obey God. That will continue until the full number of Gentiles has entered God’s kingdom.

Romans 11:25

New Life Version

25 Christian brothers, I want you to understand this truth which is no longer a secret. It will keep you from thinking you are so wise. Some Jews have become hard until the right amount of people who are not Jews come to God.

Romans 11:25

New Living Translation

God’s Mercy Is for Everyone

25 I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters,[a] so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.

Romans 11:25

New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised

All Israel Will Be Saved

25 So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters,[a] I want you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

Kehillah in Rome 11:25

Orthodox Jewish Bible

25 For I do not want you to be unaware, Achim b’Moshiach, of this raz (mystery), lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a hardening in part has come over Yisroel, until the full number of the Goyim has come in;

Romans 11:25

The Voice

25 My brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be in the dark about this mystery—I am going to let you in on the plan so that you will not think too highly of yourselves. A part of Israel has been hardened to the good news until the full number of those outside the Jewish family have entered in.

Romans 11:25

Worldwide English (New Testament)

25 My brothers, I want you to know something that has been a secret. Then you will not be proud of yourselves. The secret is this. Some Jews will have hard hearts until the right number of other people have come in.

In SUMMARY, "until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in" means:

until the full number of the Gentiles has come in

until the [a]full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in

until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in

until the full number of the Gentiles comes in

until the Gentile world enters in its fullness

until the complete number of you Gentiles has come in

until the fulness of the nations be come in

when enough non-Jewish people have come to God

when [L until] the ·complete number [or appointed number; L fullness] of the Gentiles have come ·to God [or into the kingdom

until the complete number of Gentiles comes to God

when many non-Jews have come to God

until the full number of the gentiles comes to faith

until the full number of the Gentiles has been called in

until all of you Gentiles have come to Christ—those of you who will

when many who are not Jews have come to God

until the full number of Gentiles has entered God’s kingdom

until the right amount of people who are not Jews come to God

until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ

until the full number of the Gentiles has come in

until the full number of the Goyim has come in

until the full number of those outside the Jewish family have entered in

until the right number of other people have come in

Who decides on the "fulness" or the "right number" of Gentiles to have come to GOD, that all Israel may finally be saved?

Only GOD.

Everything comes from His authority.

Romans 13:1

King James Version

13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.

For there is no power but of God:

the powers that be are ordained of God.

Of course, foolhardy Gentiles who don't wish Israel saved, can very well remark, "Why should I be saved? Why should I come to JESUS? Then, that only means, Israel's blindness will be lifted. Won't happen."

Really?

Then it's time for you to know the MYSTERY of SALVATION.

There is no denying GOD His authority.

It's time we all knew that now.

It's also time to know, GOD loves us all.

Jew, or Gentile.
